2012 Toyota Venza  Review, Price, Interior, Exterior, Engine. -  The Venza is a midsize five-passenger vehicle that Toyota refers to as a "crossover sedan," which seems to be a synonym for "short station wagon." For the latest model year, the Venza received a minor refresh that includes updated exterior styling and more standard equipment for all trim levels. The Venza was designed specifically with the North American market in mind. Sold here exclusively, it was engineered at the Toyota Technical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The exterior was penned at the Toyota's Calty design studios in Newport Beach.

Toyota gives the Venza a mid cycle refresh of sorts for 2013, but it's mainly one of reshuffled features and options. You'd be challenged to pick up on the design differences between the 2012 and 2013 Venza models perhaps even at the dealership. Styling changes of the 2013 Venza are limited to some detail changes in front new grille, new taillight design and a new 19 inch wheel design. There are also three new colors for the Venza on the outside Attitude Black, Cypress Pearl, and Cosmic Gray Mica as well as one new interior shade.

What's under the hood is essentially unchanged. There are four cylinder and V-6 models, and both are offered with a choice of front wheel drive or all wheel drive. The base engine makes 182 horsepower from 2.4 liters, while the V-6 makes 268 hp. The mileage difference isn't all that great between the two, with four cylinder Venzas rating up to an EPA 21 mpg city, 27 highway (or as low as 18/25 for the V-6 AWD). Both engines get the same available all wheel drive system, configured for on road tractability, and on V-6 models there's an available Towing Prep Package (to tow up to 3,500 pounds).

2012 Toyota Venza Engine :
The XLE adds nav and Entune, leather trimmed and heated front seats, pushbutton start, a power liftgate, a backup camera, and an anti theft system. The Limited enlarges the 6.1 inch infotainment display to a full seven inches and adds an upgraded nav system, a panoramic glass roof, and HID headlamps. LE and XLE models are available with either of the two engine options: a 181 hp, 2.7 liter four-cylinder or a 268 hp, 3.5 liter V-6 with either front or all wheel drive. The Limited is powered solely by the V-6 engine in either front or all wheel drive configurations.
