The automotive industry isn’t excited about the redesigned 2012 Honda Civic’s lackadaisical exterior and interior updates. The competition is priced lower and outshines the Civic in almost every way. In December 2010, Honda released a sketch of the 2012 Honda Civic and nothing else. Now that Honda has released pricing information and available features and journalists have had a chance to drive the 2012 Civic, there’s a lot more information to share.

2012 Honda Civic Price :
2012 Honda Civic Price. - Pricing for the new 2012 Honda Civic has been set at  $15,755 - $27,805 based on current exchange rates. If there are changes on the 2012 Honda Civic we will notify you as soon as possible, so keep follow our blog.

2012 Honda Civic Interior :
2012 Honda Civic Interior. - The 2012 Honda Civic has interior features that most shoppers are looking for, but you’ll have to go up a few trim levels and pay more than $20,000 to get them. The base DX trim, which starts at about $16,000, offers next to nothing in terms of interior standard features because there’s no air conditioning and no radio. To get these, upgrade to the LX trim, which costs about $18,000 and adds a USB audio interface, Windows Media Audio with MP3 playback capabilities and an auxiliary input jack.

New for 2012 is intelligent Multi-Information Display, a system standard on the LX trim. Located on the Civic’s instrument panel, i-MID integrates Bluetooth, fuel economy data and trip information. If you select navigation, which is available on the EX for about $22,000, i-MID will also give navigation instructions. Reviewers who have commented on this feature have varying opinions. One says it’s relatively easy to use and that he prefers it over other integrated systems on the market, while others say they never liked Honda’s split-gauges and still don’t.

2012 Honda Civic Exterior :
2012 Honda Civic Exterior. - The 2012 Civic has been refreshed and redesigned in most respects, yet its styling is clearly evolutionary rather than radically new. As before, Civic Si models get a host of trim and appearance upgrades including new wheels, a blacked out eggcrate grille, chrome tipped exhausts, and a noticeable rear spoiler that are bound to draw a little more attention. Inside, too, Si models get a sportier theme, with darker trim, sport seats, and details like a leather-wrapped steering wheel. On the other hand, the Civic Hybrid blends in even more so with the rest of the line, it gets different wheels and front fascia, plus a small spoiler on the trunk lid, but you'd have to read the badges to know that it's the Hybrid making it the antithesis of the Toyota Prius identity.

2012 Honda Civic Engine :

2012 Honda Civic Engine. - With the exception of the performance Si model and the fuel-sipping hybrid, every Civic sedan and coupe (DX, LX, EX, and EX-L) will have a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with 140 hp and 128 lb-ft of torque. (The natural-gas-burning GX also uses the 1.8.) Essentially a carry-over from the previous generation, the engine does enjoy a few changes that add a bit more torque down low and reduce internal friction. The four cylinder still spins happily, but less of the noise enters the cabin. Without that noise, the engine doesn’t seem to be working as hard as it did in the ’11 Civic.

Another carry over part is Honda’s five-speed automatic transmission, an $800 option on the lower two trim levels, DX and LX, and standard on all others. A few updates like reduced friction and more-eager torque-converter-lockup programming help boost fuel economy to 28 mpg city and 39 highway for automatic models. (Last year’s automatic returned 25 city and 36 highway.) Meanwhile, purists will be a little disappointed that the five-speed manual can only muster 28 city and 36 highway, up from 26/34.

The Honda Civic sedan has come a long way in the country and is one of the beloved vehicle of the elite segment. The Honda Civic with its aerodynamic and cab forward design looks great and better than its other rivals.
