2013 Toyota Avalon Review, Price, Interior, Exterior, Engine. - Toyota Motors reportedly regain its leadership in the automotive market; automaker plans to publish another lineup that comes with redesigned features in the next two years, including 2013 Toyota Avalon. According to automaker’s time frame will be at least ten new lineups available in dealer at the end of next year. It is also reported that Toyota undertakes a significant change on how to develop its product lineups.

For transmission, consumers can choose between a five speed manual or a continuously variable transmission. The plans of Toyota for the Scion iQ is that by 2012, an electric version would already be available. Toyota is aimed at a range of 50 kilometers of this EV iQ. It will be offered to commercial fleets that have short routes and centralized pricing systems. With regard to the much-awaited Avalon, Toyota announced that they will arrive at the end of 2012. Last June, dealers who attended the national meeting in Las Vegas became even more enthusiastic about the Avalon rather than the Camry. Avalon style was inspired by the Audi A7, Jaguar XJ and Lexus lines. The Avalon will retain the V-6 engine of 3.5 liters but will intensify its handling. 2013 Toyota Avalon comes with a 24 valve 3.0 liter DOHC VVT-i V6 210 hp @ 5,800 rpm 220 lb-ft @ 4,400 rpm motor for both XL and Avalon XLS.

Enhanced Avalon Dynamics :
In addition to its stunning design, numerous structural and chassis improvements were made to the new Toyota Avalon to enhance the ride quality, straight-line stability and handling. The body structure gains improvements in torsional rigidity thanks to additional and strategically placed welds, improved body bracing, and high-strength steel in key areas in order to provide a stiffer chassis and optimize suspension performance. The new Avalon suspension relies on MacPherson struts with advanced valving and rebound springs to balance handling and agility with ride comfort. Coil spring rate and front and rear sway bar stiffness was increased from the current model to help improve body control and body roll. The Avalon's electric power steering (EPS) system has been tuned to help deliver enhanced controllability and vehicle agility while also realizing superior linear stability.

Structure :
In addition to a more appealing exterior, Toyota’s pursuit of “design and driving enthusiasm” in the Avalon is bolstered by improved structural rigidity. The engineering team cites more extensive spot welding in the assembly process, as well as increased use of high strength steel, without specifying gains in stiffness and percentage of increase in the latter. (Similar changes were made to the latest Camry.) But a sure benefit of high strength steel is reduced weight. Toyota lists the Avalon’s minimum curb weight at 3497 pounds, down almost 120 pounds, it says.

Powertrain :
While extolling the “compelling and more passionate nature” of this and other future Toyota products, the company was not forthcoming on how that passion will be powered, at least in the new Avalon.
