2012 Mercedes Benz C Class | Review, Price, Interior, Exterior, Engine - When the fourth-generation C-class arrived in 2007, the dour, cheap interior made us wonder if Mercedes-Benz was serious about calling it a luxury car. For 2012, Mercedes gutted it, refinishing the C with soft, rich plastics befitting the pricier E-class. There are new gauges with higher-quality displays, the seats are more comfortable, and the switchgear looks to have been lifted from the new CLS. It’s so much nicer inside that we actually feel a little bad for customers who already bought a C-class.

The 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan hasn't been completely redesigned, but it does get a careful retouch, for a clear visual link to the latest new Mercedes-Benz designs. As before, the C-Class can be had in Luxury or Sport guise, with the Sport treatment standing out for its emphatic, salad-plate-sized emblem over a barrel grille. Inside, the C-Class sees a sportier, more modern look with revised metallic trims, but it's still a bit. A new Coupe joins the C-Class range for 2012 as well, available in the same basic forms as the sedan.

The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be launched in spring 2011 and is a comprehensive modernisation. The front and rear sections of this best selling model have a more striking design. There is now a high-resolution colour display screen in the instrument cluster, an elegant new dashboard with grained surface and prominent decorative trim emphasising the premium character of the interior. Fuel consumption has been improved by up to 31 per cent. Efficiency-enhancing measures including new engines, the improved 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission and the ECO start/stop function also feature. Ten new driving assistance systems ranging from the standard ATTENTION ASSIST drowsiness detection system to the optional DISTRONIC PLUS proximity control system are also now available for this model series for the first time.

2012 Mercedes Benz C Class Price :
2012 Mercedes Benz C Class Price. - Best deals on the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe is $ 34,800 with the C63 AMG models costing $ 61,420.

2012 Mercedes Benz C Class Interior :
The C350 drives solidly, in the manner of a small big car. There's no suspension chop or harshness. The new C has slightly revised suspension geometry and a brace of new bushings. The basic steel-spring setup (struts in front and an independent multi-link design in back) carries over. Dampers on all models automatically adjust between two ride settings and there are three available suspensions calibrations: Luxury, Sport and AMG. Our tester's softest suspension didn't offer any driver controlled adjustability and its range isn't as broad as the higher-performance versions.

Our C350 also included a Sport/Comfort switch that modified the seven speed's shift schedule. As you'd expect, the transmission moved up shift points and held gears longer. The hydraulic power rack-and-pinion steering also heavied up in Sport mode and delivered more feel, but don't expect the tactile sensations of a sports car.

2012 Mercedes Benz C Class Exterior :
Exterior of 2012 Mercedes Benz C Class designed with quality materials. So it has a very dynamic, so you do perjanan apabil with this car, it will feel very comfortable.

The shape of the clear-lens headlamps has been modified to create a more dynamic and resolute impression, and to act together with the bonnet, radiator grille and bumper to give the Mercedes-Benz C-Class a new face. This impression is reinforced by both the exterior form of the headlamps and the interior of the housings. The headlamps show their modernity by precision and an interplay between matt and high-gloss areas. The halogen headlamps are arranged in the classic way, with low beam on the outside, main beam on the inside and the indicators neatly arranged in the outer corner formed with the front wing.

If the optional bi-xenon headlamps with the Intelligent Light System (ILS) are ordered, the impression of depth is reinforced by a row of lighting modules. A position light with a distinctive C-shape emphasises the night design. Behind it is a cornering light extending to the main headlamp module on the outside. A visual base in the lower section of the headlamp is formed by a horizontal broadband LED indicator unit. The horizontal LED daytime running lamps in the bumper also make the Mercedes-Benz C-Class unmistakable from a distance.

2012 Mercedes Benz C Class Engine :
As luck of the press-fleet draw would have it, our ride on the twisty roads of Tenerife (the largest of Spain's Canary Islands) was a rear-wheel-drive C350 equipped with the Elegance package. The Stateside equivalent would be called the Luxury model. Significant differences separate this model from the Sport: a four-spoke steering wheel, either rich brown ash or burr walnut and wide S-Class-style headrests with side bolsters (great for resting passengers).

While Sport C-Class models (known as Avantgarde editions in the EU) possess a sportier countenance with a CLS-style grill, AMG-style three-spoke steering wheel and gloss black ash, our C seemed to be the execution that most entry-level luxury buyers are looking for. There's something proper about looking out over the Three-Pointed Star standing proud over the chrome radiator surround. Ditto for the inside's rich wood appliqués and soft Nappa leather.

There are two major options packages in the car. The Premium Package coddles with heated front seats, an iPod/MP3 Media Interface in the center console, a Harman/Kardon LOGIC7 surround-sound system and SIRIUS satellite radio. The Multimedia Package includes a COMAND system with hard-drive navigation, enhanced voice control for audio, telephone and navigation, a 7-inch color display, SIRIUS real-time traffic service, an in-dash SD memory card reader, an in-dash 6-disc DVD/CD changer, a 10GB hard-drive with Music Register and a rearview camera.

New additions to the options list for the latest model year include the AMG Sports Package Plus, which brings enhanced exhaust tuning, a special sport interior with contrasting seatbelts, 18-inch sevem-twin-spoke wheels and a revised front suspension, in addition to a radar-based cruise control system, which is offered as a stand-alone option.
