2012 Maruti Cervo | Review, Interior, Exterior, Engine - India’s largest auto manufacturer, Maruti is planning to launch another small car model Maruti Cervo in entry level segment in the Indian auto market. Maruti is working aggressively to launch Maruti Cervo in Indian market as a counter attack to Tata Nano which has stormed the auto market with its ultra low cost. Maruti is a market leader for small car market but the launch of Tata Nano has affected heavily the sales of Maruti 800. It is expected that the Maruti Cervo will be priced in the range of Rs 1.5 to 2 lacs. To reduce its manufacturing cost Maruti Suzuki may reduce some features from the original model which is available in Japan. It is also expected that after the launch Maruti Cervo will overtake the company’s most popular models Maruti 800 and Maruti Alto.

Economic Times reports that the Maruti Cervo 2012 will be launched on Diwali and will be available for a price tag of Rs. 2-2.5 lakh. Officials from Maruti announced that the works on the car are still be carried and will be ready before Diwali.

Maruti Cervo is made Suzuki  cars that have been launched in India, this car will replace the iconic small car Maruti and oldest Maruti 800 in this country. The Maruti Cervo is expected to come powered by an engine, 660cc 0.7L petrol with maximum power of 60bhp. The car will be stored in the segment of sub Rs 2 lakh price which would further shorten the gap between the price of Alto series and the cheapest car India's Tata Nano. Cervo models already available in the Japanese market where it has received an overwhelming response from Japanese buyers.

Maruti Suzuki recently was in the news for the plan for the Indian market for the next few years. The manufacturer is looking at launching more than a dozen models in the Indian market in the next 3-4 years. No doubt, most of these will be in the Rs 3 to Rs 6 lakh segment and the small hatchback, the Suzuki Cervo will be one of them. Suzuki already sells the Cervo abroad and the Indian version will look or less the same though it might carry a different name for India. Another change will be the powerplant. We expect Maruti to put the KB10 1.0-litre in this Cervo the same engine also powers the current Alto K10, A-Star and WagonR.

2012 Maruti Cervo Price :
Maruti Cervo Price starting range will be Rs. 1,50,000 and will go up to Rs. 3,50,000. Maruti Cervo will hit the Indian market by the first quarter of 2012. The car will look to compete with the likes of Tata Nano, Hyundai Eon and its own Maruti Alto. The top end variant will have advance safety features like ABS and Air-Bags. The Base model of Maruti Cervo will have only very basic features like 13 inches tyres, power steering and cup holders.

2012 Maruti Cervo Interior :
The seats for driver and other passengers are wide and comfy with small headrest. Headroom and legroom at both rows are pretty enough for four passengers. But if you try to adjust three people at rear seats, it might be troublesome. Maruti Cervo is blessed with seatbelts for all the passengers. The flooring and roof are in slender layer in order to provide enough space. At the rear side a big boot space is there. The boot space is nicely carved and having completely flat surface that allows to put more items in it.

For interior design Maruti Cervo, Maruti Cervo will be a 4 seater. You can put only two passengers in the backside, if you try to put three passengers it would be troublesome. This will be the only where customers needs to compromise. The wide dashboard of Maruti Cervo has eye-catching style and is smartly designed. When it to head and leg room, it Gives sufficient space for all the occupants. It will have common interior features like air conditioning, audio system, power steering, seats belts, central lock etc. Apart from the exteriors of the Maruti Cervo the interiors of the car is also attractive and spacy.

2012 Maruti Cervo Exterior :
The front face of the car is compact which give a feel of blend of classic and modern car. The headlight cluster is in 'eye' shape which houses round turn indicator and headlamp. Right down the headlmaps cluster, smiling grille are placed with chrome finished strip. The honeycomb radiator grille are neat and clean. Fog lamp is not available with the Maruti Cervo. Just below the upper grille, a rectangular strip of lower grille in black is placed. However, the front and rear bumper is in body colour. Apart from this, body colour side view mirrors, body colour door handle bars add to the stunning beauty of the sexy avatar. Small turn indicators are fitted at the front side of the car. It is also clear that the rear passenger side door will be lesser in width as compared to front door. That might trouble the rear passenger when access.

For Exterior design Maruti Cervo, Maruti Cervo comes with amazing exterior features. The front fascia is daunted with sporty lines along with the Maruti Suzuki Logo. Head and fog lamps look very manly. A black thick line which starts from pillar 'A' and ends with pillar 'C' gives sporty look for the car. When we evaluate Maruti Cervo with Company’s earlier hatchbacks, it seems very elegant. It looks more stylish than its competitor which is optimistic for the company. On the whole it is perfectly and smarty designed hatchback to meet up young generation taste in India. The Maruti Cervo will also have minute changes in the dimension and features to keep down the pricing of the car.

2012 Maruti Cervo Engine :
The Cervo is expected to look very moder and stylish when launched here in India. The current Zen Estilo hasnt been doing great numbers in India and hence Maruti might also simply replace the aging Estilo with the Cervo. Interiors are also expected to carry a modern and funky design line. Another highlight in the Cervo's package will be its ride and handling. Like a typical small Japanese car, expect the Cervo to be a very friendly city car with agile handling and a light steering wheel. If the Cervo does make it to India, we expect it to carry a ARAI certified fuel economy of over 20.0kmpl which should translate into around 15-16kmpl in real world conditions.
Maruti should be looking at pricing the 1.0-litre base model of the Cervo at around Rs 3 lakh mark.
